This site, arlenritchie.com, is the personal website of Arlen Ritchie. It lets people book a time to talk with me. This page explains what information it uses.
What the site collects
When you book a time, you give your name, your email address, and an optional note. The site also records your time zone and the time you chose.
How it is used
- To put the meeting on my calendar and send you a calendar invite.
- To email you a confirmation, a reminder, and a link to confirm, change, or cancel.
- To tell me who booked and whether the meeting is confirmed.
Your details are not sold, shared for advertising, or used for anything else.
Where it is stored
Your booking is stored on the calendar event in my Google Calendar. The site has no separate database. Emails are sent through Resend, and the site is hosted on Vercel. These services handle your information only to do those jobs.
My Google Calendar
The site connects to my own Google Calendar. It reads when I am busy or free, creates and updates the meetings booked here, and sets their color. It does not read the details of my other events, and it does not use Google data for advertising or share it with anyone else. The site's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting
Booking details stay on the calendar event until I delete it. You can cancel your booking from the link in your confirmation email, which removes the event. To have your details removed, ask through the booking page note field or reply to any email you received from this site.
Your browser
After you book, your name and email are saved in your own browser so the form is filled in next time. They stay on your device until you clear your browser's site data, and are not sent anywhere until you book again. The site uses no tracking or advertising cookies.
